"Once Upon A Time" we usually heard or see this word in children story book or movie. In real life there a a cafe name Once Upon A Time where is being operated by 3 sisters.The name of the shop Once Upon A Time, its make me feel like I am inside the fairy tale story, and I dream myself as a little princess, as the environment is good and really relax there, if you are looking for a place that can let you put away stress. I think this is a place suitable for you and me. Although beside this shop is The Garden Just Want Coffee, the shop still manage to get its customers and the way of business are different. The ambiance of the shop is full of people memory.

This is the view of the right hand side of the shop,. The environment there make people feel very relax, and can stay there for the whole day to enjoy its finest coffee and food.

Never had a ride in scooter? You can come here to have a ride with the scooter.( just sitting on it and take picture) =)

This is the counter, where the barrister makes the coffee. The aroma of the coffee makes me want to have more coffee and I am in love with the coffee.

Dessert is the favorite of everyone. There are variety of pastry and bakery for you and me to choose.

They not only served pastry they also served variety of foods like pizza and others. Where customers can get variety of choices.

The coffee is the best friend of everyone. if you don't drink coffee, there is others drinks for you to choose like chocolate drinks hot or cold is your choices.

The Roost Cafe

This is not a place just for drink n food....

Roost, word from the meaning of a bird or groups of birds resting action. Deco inspired of vintage atmosphere 1970's. House juices are populars, which served in a small coloured bucket. Food from mum's recipes based from Hainamese. Which located at down town of Johor Bahru, double storey historical structure building aged of over 50 years old. Totally back into hippies. We are most welcome music lover, especially indie, folks. because we always play this music all time. You can do more than a dining in the Roost, why?? On upstairs, there is a link to guide you to dress happiness on, stlying in the front... which a boutique next door named " The Girl Next Door".. from new designer, selected quality second hand piece, handmade dolls, custom made items..And, we provides make up and hair styling services.

The way the drinks are served here is super adorable: The Iced Cappucinos and Lime Juices we ordered were served in these cute little baldis! To accompany your chit-chatting session of gossip fests, philosophical wonderment, rants and raves and/or political debates, their finger foods are the way to go!

The environment in the shop

Roost is located just a few steps away from Hua Mui, in an area that used to have a rather dodgy reputation (apparently, this area was the place for some trannie action). But the seediness of Jalan Dhoby has now been replaced with an air of modern vintage, as the street is now lined with cosy eateries and indie boutiques.

Roost’s retro-inspired decor, from its intentionally-mismatched couches and chairs to its vintage-ish household items, made for a homey hangout place.

Just Want Coffee The Garden

Just Want Coffee The Garden has become a famous place to chill with family and friends. The Garden is a branch of Just Want Coffee and was previously a show house but has been renovated into a cafe at JP Perdana, Johor Bahru. It business start at 2009. I was operated by Ms. Carol Heng and partners under Happy Foody Sdn Bhd. Just Want Coffee The Garden it's one-of-a-kind concept has attracted a lot of people to visit this place even during weekdays! From Aeon Tebrau City to the The Garden only need around 10 mins (depends on the traffic) Just Want Coffee The Garden can be exotic cafe because they have served the finest coffee and food although they having their business in a house area. The concept of the shop is more on British style.

This is one of my favorite dessert banana waffle. The waffle has a rich eggy flavour which I like and it comes with a scoop of banana ice-cream which make the waffle more special. It also served with chocolate sauce and some fresh bananas,which make the dessert more exotic.

Mango crepe is one of my favorite dessert too. I like the cake because it is not to sweet and it is suitable any age of people to try it.

If you just want to have a drink you can try this. This is original latte where served with a piece of cookies. This coffee sweetnes can be control by yourself, where you add your own sugar. The drawing of the coffee make customer happy and fell love with it.

Overall, it's a Exotic cafe with it's one of a kind concept of having it in a show house. I would recommend it to you to come and have a look if you haven't been here before.
Price of the food and beverages are at a steeper side, and you don't have a lot of choices to choose from. Sky juice is free of charge, but they did state that every customer must order a minimum of one beverage though.
Be prepared to queue for at least 30 minutes to be seated as the tables are limited and the area is relatively small on weekends and public holiday.
